A Two Hours Master Class in Coaching (5th July 2018 - 5 to 7 pm Sofia time)

In this masterclass, we will explore the fast-growing field of team coaching. There is a good deal of literature and research into what makes a team effective- the science of team coaching.  However, there is less written on what's makes a team coach effective - the art of team coaching!  We will explore both, with a special focus on the role of the coach and team coaching competencies.

This time people will have the opportunity to experience the master class alive or to watch it online. If you decide to join the group alive, you will have the chance to practice with other coaches and to learn more through interaction with others. It will be very interesting mix of life and online delivery.

Short biography:

Georgina Woudstra, MCC has been a successful executive coach for 25 years.  In her own practice, she coaches CEOs and Senior Teams. She is also the principal and founder of the Executive Coach Studio, an organization that supports coaches in deepening their learning and in developing coach mastery. Their flagship programme is the ECS Diploma in Team Coaching Mastery.  She lives in Winchester, UK. 

Georgina has been coaching chief executives, senior leaders and executive teams for 24 years. She has been described by clients as having “strong presence and credibility”, as being “experienced and wise” and a coach who “has extraordinary empathy” allowing her to be “challenging but gentle”. Georgina is also the Principal of the Executive Coach Studio, a coach training organization for professional coaches looking to deepen their practice and develop greater congruence and coherence in their work.  One of the courses is a Diploma in Team Coaching Mastery and it supports coaches in building their skill and confidence around team coaching.  Georgina is a successful entrepreneur in her own right, a member of the International Transactional Analysis Association (ITAA) and co-author of ‘Coaching Global Top Teams’ in Leadership Coaching: Working with Leaders to Develop Elite Performance (Kogan Page). She holds many coaching qualifications including an Advanced Diploma in Coach Mastery from ITS, a Diploma in Transactional Analysis and a Certificate in the Supervision of Coaches, Mentors and Consultants from Bath Consultancy Group.

Dr. Declan Woods is a Master Accredited Coach, leadership team coach and Registered Psychologist. He specializes in working with CEOs and their executive teams and has coached leaders from over 23 countries. He is a retained coach-consultant with several global organizations. Declan is faculty on the Executive Coach Studio’s Diploma in Team Coaching Mastery with Georgina.

Declan’s coaching is informed by his earlier experience as a Plc. Director and his current portfolio of non-executive Director roles. Declan previously led Penna Plc.’s international Board and Executive coaching business and was the inaugural Global Head of Standards and Accreditation with the Association for Coaching (AC). He co-created and successfully launched the Global Code of Ethics – a new industry standard for coaching and mentoring. Declan was made a life Fellow of the AC for this work helping to raise coaching standards.

Declan earned Master’s degrees in change consulting (INSEAD) and psychology (University of Cambridge), and holds an Executive MBA (University of Warwick). He is a qualified coaching supervisor and supervises team coaches. His doctoral research (University of Leicester) specialized in team functioning and, partly based on this, he created Middle Circleâ for Teams – a diagnostic mobile app/tool to help team’s improve their effectiveness.
